The Hang Seng Management College – Foundation (HSMC – Foundation) is established by Hang Seng Management College (HSMC) to serve as a platform to engage donors to be connected to advance its teaching, learning and research priorities. Embracing the unique “Liberal + Professional” education model, HSMC is poised to become a leading private university in Hong Kong.
HSMC was restructured from Hang Seng School of Commerce in 2010 as a non-profit, private university-level institution with five Schools (Business, Communication, Decision Sciences, Humanities & Social Science, and Translation). HSMC is a modern residential-type college and puts quality teaching and students’ all-round development as its highest priority. HSMC features top-quality faculty members, award-winning green campus facilities, innovative degree programmes, impactful research on corporate sustainability, and excellent student support services, with the aim to nurture young talents with independent thinking, innovative minds, human caring and social responsibilities.
In 2016, HSMC has a student population of around 5,000 and 180 full-time academic staff members, and offers a number of bachelor's (Honours) and master’s degree programmes, namely, Business Administration (with concentrations in Accounting, Banking & Finance, and Marketing), Corporate Governance, Financial Analysis, Management, Convergent Media and Communication Technology, Journalism & Communication, Supply Chain Management, Management Science & Information Management, Data Science & Business Intelligence, Applied and Human-Centred Computing, Chinese, English, Asian Studies, Translation with Business and Master of Arts in Translation (Business and Legal), some of which are unique and the first of its kind in the region.

Leadership and Objective
HSMC – Foundation reports to the HSMC Board of Governors and is managed by a Foundation Management Committee. With a view to deepening connection with members of the corporate community, individuals and alumni, the Committee is charged with the duties to ensure safe custody of and decide usage of the funds of HSMC – Foundation.
Donors are eligible to become members of HSMC – Foundation. Membership is categorised according to the cumulative sum of donations and can be upgraded as per the amount of cumulative donations.
All donations of HK$100 or above are eligible to claim for tax deduction.
